Implementation of PID Based Automatic Temperature Control System using STM32

Using the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control method and the STM32 microcontroller unit, a quick and high-accuracy temperature control system was built (MCU). The temperature control system can be used in fields that have high demands for temperature control response speed and precision. A heating element is used for heating the water and the thermocouple sensor is responsible for sensing the water temperature. If the temperature goes higher than the setpoint value then a cooling system is designed to bring the temperature down. Thus, a constant temperature of the water is maintained using PID. We compare the required value to the present value using the microcontroller, and the result is shown on the LCD. In addition, to maintain a consistent temperature, the Fan or Heater is turned on or off in response to temperature deviations from the desired setpoint. Thus, the maintenance of a constant temperature by turning the relay on and off for heating or cooling elements is completely automated due to the PID algorithm set in the STM32 controller.
