AI based Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SUAV) Targets Detection and Tracking Techniques

This paper presents a nearly complete review of the current works on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) detection and tracking. In the past few years, UAVs have evolved a lot and are being used for a wide range of applications. In this paper, the technologies related to radar with different machine learning and deep learning have been addressed. The general conclusion of this study is that the machine learning-based detection & tracking approaches of UAVs seem to be promising, but not up to the mark, which gives a shift to deep learning methods. There are other detection methods such as visual, acoustic and radio frequency, however this study mainly focuses on RADAR and deep learning methods.
