Comparison and Analysis of SL-DS-DC Converter with VM-DC Converter

For renewable energy applications, substantial voltage gain is required. The DC-DC converters play a crucial role in this proposed system. Although there are several DC-DC converters available to boost voltage gain, the passive elements requirement is larger, which leads reducing compactness and raising the system cost. The number of passive elements, on the other hand, is relatively significant, which increases the size. The power switching devices in modern power converters are either thyristors or transistors. Thyristors are employed in high-power applications, whereas transistors are more cost-effective in low-power applications. In order to improve the high gain and efficiency of proposed system the MOSFET or IGBT based switches are employed. A new switching inductor configuration is presented to cut the number of passive components while maintaining semiconductor devices to compare with proposed system as a Switched Inductor Based Double Switch DC-DC Converter (SL-DS-DC). The SL-DS-DC system will give the results by changing altering the input parameters like inductance, capacitance, and switching frequency to see how the output voltage varies. Furthermore, not only does the proposed converter have a better gain, but it also has better efficiency. The converter's output is evaluated, and a sample voltage comparison is done in this technique. The performance of the suggested design is described through simulation results. The converter is compared with Voltage Multiplier (VM) based DC-DC converter and the gain characteristics are analyzed and observed. The converter topologies will be evaluated and then presented to demonstrate their applicability.
