Public Institutions Updated Enhanced Biometric Security, Zero Trust Architecture and Multi-Factor Authentification

This paper presents the possibility of introducing multi-factor authentication using biometrics as standard practice to improve public institution cyber security. Along with the widespread implementation of such a solution, network architecture can be redesigned around a Zero Trust Architecture approach that would permit a much more granular approach to network and data security. The proposed system would also comply with current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards and regulations.
