Machine learning based Human Enzyme Types, Features, and Amino Acid Sequence-Based Prediction Methods - A Detailed Review

The body uses proteins from the enzyme family for a wide variety of purposes. The pressing need for this technology stems from the current lack of an efficient method for selecting enzymes from the vast pool of human proteins in order to investigate their activities in greater depth. However, little attention has been paid to how human enzymes and non-enzymatic proteins are classified. There may be as many as six types of enzymes in humans. Isomerase, hydrolase, lyases, and ligases are all examples of such enzymes. To identify the class of proteins known as enzymes, a contiguous sequence of words is built by employing 1-gram, 2-gram, and 3-gram features of pseudo amino acid composition. Multiple types of equipment will be used to do the analysis. Predicted measures of precision, recall, Fl-score, and accuracy have been provided so that the system may be evaluated in relation to others of a similar kind. The findings suggest that our classifier has the potential to be used for the quick and accurate identification of human enzymes, which would help clarify their functions and advance the research into new treatments.
