Analysis of Quality of Service Parameters and Monitoring of Energy Consumption in Mobile Wireless Adhoc Networks

In wireless ad hoc networks, especially mobile ones, the routing mechanism known as Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV) is frequently used. It is crucial to understand QoS, which is defined as service quality performance. The NS-3 Simulator is used to simulate the assessment of the QoS metrics and monitoring of Energy consumption of the AODV protocol. Simulated networks include those with different numbers of mobile nodes operating at a specified data rate. The transport layer also employs the UDP protocol. In IP V4-based networks, WiFi helper modules allow packet transfer over channels. Whilst using generic AODV-based routing, network congestion brought on by a high volume of RREQ packets lowers the packet delivery ratio and other QoS metrics. The deterioration of QoS parameters is visualized and thus, the dependence of QoS parameters on the number of nodes is ascertained and quantized.
