Survey on use of Augmented Reality in Early Childhood Education: Teachers Perspective

Learner motivation and engagement plays an important role in effective learning. Selecting the right teaching strategies to increase engagement and motivation are equally important. Innovations in multimedia, technology, computers and internet have given rise to the use of new methods and tools in the classroom. Augmented reality is an instrumental tool used by educators to teach their students. As technology changes and is part of the curriculum, augmented reality finds space as a learning tool to increase student engagement and motivation. This study will help researchers and developers acquire valuable knowledge to understand the various challenges of early learning from a teacher's perspective. It will help understand how the use of Augmented Reality technology can help improve student engagement, motivation and academic performance and understand the limitations in existing applications that need to be addressed while developing AR applications for early stages.
