Design and Implementation of Free Ambulance Service System in Bandar Lampung City Based on Android Mobile Application

To improve health services for people in Bandar Lampung City, Local Government of Bandar Lampung has prepared ambulances since the beginning of the free ambulance service program. However, this free ambulance service can only be ordered through the telephone number provided on the ambulance, so people who need to order an ambulance must call this number. This study builds an application that runs on the Android operating system to facilitate the ordering process and free ambulance services for the city of Bandar Lampung to be more efficient. The development of the Bandar Lampung Free Ambulance Service application was built using the Prototype software engineering method using the PHP programming language on the Web Service side and the Java programming language on the android application side, using MySQL and Firebase Realtime Database as databases. Testing on this application is carried out in stages starting from the blackbox method, data testing, and UAT (User Acceptance Test). The results obtained from the UAT method get a response of 59.28% with a very satisfactory rating from the user. While the test results obtained from the blackbox method of 19 testing features were carried out as expected. The application can make an ambulance order quickly and efficiently and the application can present historical data on orders that have been completed.
