Design of Anti-Rotation Offset Wireless Power Transfer System with Double-Layer Orthogonal DD Coil

DD coil is widely used in wireless power transfer (WPT) system as an important coupling structure. However, when the axial rotation deviation occurs, the mutual inductance will decrease sharply. When the rotation of the receiving coil reaches 90°, the coupling coefficient drops to 0, and the power transfer will not be able to be carried out. In this paper, a novel double-layer orthogonal DD coil coupling structure with switching working mode is proposed to solve the problem of poor anti-rotation offset effect of DD coil. Finally, the magnetic field coupling capability, output power and efficiency under different working modes are verified by simulation and experiment.
