Study Of The Dynamics Of Solidification Of A Continuously Cast Ingot On The Improved Mathematical Model Of The Process Of Soft Compression

the aim of the work is to develop and study a mathematical model of ingot solidification to determine the exact parameters of soft reduction. To solve this problem, the appropriate method is the finite difference method (grid method). An explicit difference scheme was used to solve the considered differential equation. A refined mathematical model of ingot solidification has been developed, the numerical solution of which will make it possible to obtain the temperature field in the ingot cross section, and, therefore, will make it possible to more accurately obtain the parameters of soft reduction. A computer program has been developed that calculates the temperature field of a continuously cast ingot along its entire length. Using this program, you can calculate the technological parameters of soft reduction. The modeling of the crystallization process has been carried out. The data obtained were evaluated for adequacy and used in the development of practical recommendations and adjustment of the operating modes of the soft reduction roller section on a vertical slab continuous casting machine (SCCM). This method of mathematical modeling can be used for the calculation and theoretical analysis of the thermal regimes of the CCM at a variable speed of pulling the ingot.
