Enhancement of the effectiveness of wind turbines with aerodynamic multiplication

In this paper, we presented analysis of wind turbines with aerodynamic multiplication and shown possibilities to increase their efficiency, reduce weight and cost of electrical equipment in comparison with the classical schemes of horizontal axis wind turbines. This is reached due to the specific properties of energy conversion in wind turbines with aerodynamic multiplication, namely, the generator speed is constant at variable speed of wind machine; the multiplier is absent; higher dynamic stability under wind gusts. We have shown the possibility to realize universal technical solutions, regardless of the state of weather conditions and changes in the parameters of the power transmission system. We have presented the most real variants to realize high-power energy conversion schemes, which enable us to increase the effectiveness of wind turbines with aerodynamic multiplication, depending on their capacity. A number of technical solutions have been confirmed experimentally and on simulation models.
