Accelerating Simulation-Enabled Engineering

The demand for simulation-enabled engineering grows steadily. In order to improve these approaches generic processes, frameworks, and architectures are proposed in this paper using an EV charging infrastructure as an exemplary field of application. Starting with a generic DevOps Cycle as a process scheme, the system-under-test, the operational environment, and simulation-based engineering task are defined by a itemization matrix. Based on that step an Open Testing Architecture is introduced that enables "simulation as a service" approaches. In this context our proposed generic model architecture for the efficient exchange of models within a simulation system is essential.
