Event-triggered control approach to a ball-and-beam system

In this paper, we tackle an event-triggered control approach to a ball-and-beam system. We develop an event-triggered controller based on Jacobian linearized model of a ball-and-beam system. We provide some analyses for system stability and positive lower bounds of inter execution times. In simulation, we show that the proposed event-triggered controller provides similar performance to the equivalent time-triggered controller while using significantly less number of controller updates.
