Establishment of high-precision electromagnetic simulation model and physical model of human brain based on CT/MRI with Chinese characteristics

Electromagnetic detection technology has been applied to the detection of stroke by many scholars because of its fast, low cost, easy integration and miniaturization [1–4]. Simulation and physical experiments provide important guidance for the design and optimization of the whole system of stroke electromagnetic detection technology. Therefore, there is a great need for a model with real anatomical structure that can simulate the electrical characteristics of brain tissue. At present, there are some three-dimensional human head models with real anatomical structures, such as SAM model, DUKE human model, Ella model [5], etc. These models have been widely used in CST and Sim4life electromagnetic simulation software as simulation models. However, these models are based on European and American human standards, while electromagnetic simulation models based on Chinese human data are still rare. Moreover, the 3D data of these models can only be used in the software, and cannot be exported and be used to make physical models. Therefore, the results of simulation experiments and physical experiments do not have good continuity and cannot be mutually verified and optimized. This paper uses the image data of a Chinese healthy volunteer to reconstruct a high-precision human brain model, and then establishes an electromagnetic simulation model. Through 3D printing technology, a human brain electromagnetic physical model is produced.
