Development of an Object-Oriented Graphic Description Language to Assist Visually Impaired People to Draw Easily Line Figures

It is difficult for visually impaired people to access graphic information or to draw without assistance from sighted. For this reason, some systems have been developed to assist them. However, existing systems cannot easily and without assistance create figures that require accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the system to assist the visually impaired people to draw precisely without assistance from sighted. Also, there are some visually impaired people who use graphic description languages for the sighted. However, it is difficult for them to use it. Based on these backgrounds, we are developing a prototype object-oriented graphic description language in order to draw for visually impaired people. In this paper, we describe our developing language.
