Ram Rajagopal received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, TX, USA, and the M.A. degree in statistics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA. He is an Assistant Professor of civil and environmental engineering at Stanford University, Stanford, CA, where he directs the Stanford Sustainable Systems Laboratory (S3L), focused on large scale monitoring, data analytics, and stochastic control for infrastructure networks, in particular energy and transportation.
