Biography
Dimitry Sayenko received the M.D. degree from the Russian State Medical University, Moscow, Russia, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in aerospace medicine from the Institute for Biomedical Problems (IBMP), Moscow, Russia, in 2005.,Until 2006, he was a researcher at the IBMP. Since 2006, he worked at the National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disability in Japan. In May 2008, he joined the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Toronto, ON, Canada. His current research focuses on balance control, improvement of strength in impaired muscles, and early functional rehabilitation after neuromuscular impairment.(Based on document published on 9 August 2012).
