Biography

Alexander Kipp (kipp@hlrs.de) holds a diploma in computer science. He graduated from the University of Stuttgart where he worked on extended business process definitions, preceding the “BPEL for choreography” extension. Since 2006 he has been a research assistant employed at HLRS, working in particular on virtualization strategies in the areas of grid and Web services, merging complex distributed processes into single interfaces. He is now deputy head of the ISI department. His personal research interest is in virtualizing complex processes, thus reducing their management and usage overhead.(Based on document published on 23 June 2009).
