Biography
Thomas D. Wang received the B.S. degree from Harvey Mudd College, Claremont, CA, in 1985, the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering (Health Sciences & Technology) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1996, and the M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School, in 1998.,From 1996 to 1998, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Wellman Laboratory of Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a board-certified gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience in developing novel optical imaging instruments and molecular probes for the early detection of cancer.
