Biography

Lieven Vandevelde was born in Eeklo, Belgium in 1968. He graduated in electromechanical engineering at Ghent University in 1992 and is since then with the Electrical Energy Laboratory (EELAB). He received the Ph.D. degree from Ghent University in 1997. Since 2004, he is professor in electrical power engineering. His research and teaching activities are in the field of electrical power systems, electrical machines and (computational) electromagnetics.(Based on document published on 25 October 2010).
