Biography
Roberto C. Mancini, received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Buenos Aires in 1983. His dissertation research was on equation of state and hydrodynamics of hot dense matter. ,He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA, with the late Prof. C. Hooper, specializing in atomic and radiation physics of plasmas with emphasis on plasma spectroscopy applications. In 1993, he joined the faculty of the Physics Department, The University of Nevada at Reno, Reno, NV, USA, where he became a Full Professor in 2003 and served as the Department Chair from 2007 to 2010.
