Biography
Tamer Shanableh (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Scotland, U.K. He received the M.Sc. degree in software engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronic systems engineering from the University of Essex, in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He was a Senior Research Officer with the University of Essex for three years, during which, he collaborated with BTexact on inventing video transcoders. He then joined Motorola U.K. Research Laboratories and contributed to establishing a new profile within the ISO/IEC MPEG-4 known as the Error Resilient Simple Scalable Profile.
