Harish Viswanathan (harishv@lucent.com) received his B. Tech. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, in 1992, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering, Cornell University, in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He was awarded the Cornell Sage Fellowship during academic year 1992–1993. He is presently with Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill, New Jersey as a member of technical staff. He has worked extensively on design and analysis of performance enhancement schemes for wireless systems and in particular on the application of multiple-antenna technology to third-generation wireless systems.
