Biography

Jafar Soltani was born in Isfahan, Iran. He received the graduate degree from Tabriz University, Iran, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, U.K.,He is currently an Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Isfahan University of Technology, Iran. From October 1999 to October 2000, he was a Visiting Professor at McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada. His research interests include power electronics, variable ac drives, power system control and nonlinear control.(Based on document published on 19 May 2014).
