Biography
Krishna Saraswat (F'xx) received the B.E. degree in electronics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India, in 1968, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 1969 and 1974, respectively.,In 1993, jointly with Texas Instruments, he demonstrated a microfactory for single-wafer manufacturing. Since January 2004, he has been on an honorary appointment as an Adjunct Professor at the BITS. During the summer of 2007, he was a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
