Xiaoming Huo (S'96–M'99–SM'04) received the B.S. degree in mathematics from University of Science and Technology of China, Anhui, China, in 1993, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in statistics from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, in 1997 and 1999, respectively.,He is a Full Professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA. He has made numerous contributions on topics such as sparse representation, image coding and representation, wavelets, and statistical problems in detectability. His work has led to an interview by Emerging Research Fronts, in 2006, in the field of mathematics, and every two months, one paper is selected. His research...
