Global mapping analysis tools for asteroid exploration

Evaluating the performance of mapping orbits is significant to the design of the mapping plan for asteroids. The global mapping analysis tool is developed to help the engineers analyse the possible mapping plans for different types of asteroids. This software provides support on the trajectory propagation and observation geometry analysis, including the asteroid shape modelling, occultation checking, and simulation visualizing. This paper briefly introduces the global mapping analysis tool using several asteroids as examples.
