Investigation of Acceleration and Brake Deceleration of Light Vehicles

This paper describes a study aimed at determining the average value of the acceleration of a car starting from a standstill and reaching a certain speed. Also, the average value of negative acceleration during braking of a car starting its braking process from a different initial speed has been investigated and determined. The determination of these parameters is of particular importance, since their average value depends on the current speed of the car and in order to be able to accurately determine some dynamic parameters of the vehicle’s movement, it is necessary that these parameters are as close as possible to the actual ones.
