Conceptual Foundations of Engineering Restructuring of Manufacturing System in a Cyber-Physical Manufacturing system

The issue of restructuring the real production system into a cyber-physical production system has not been addressed in scientific developments and research. For this reason, this article presents the author's perspective on defining the conceptual foundations of this restructuring. The study, research and analysis of scientific publications and points of view on the subject under consideration shows that in the scientific doctrine there is no formed concept of the restructuring of the production system in a cyber-physical production system, of the types of restructuring, of the methods of its implementation, of its possible risks and benefits to the manufacturing business organization. There are extremely few developments devoted to cyber-physical production systems, and there is a complete absence of those providing scientific expertise on the processes of restructuring real, physical production systems into cyber-physical production systems. In the present article, the definition of the specific changes in the structure of actual production systems during their restructuring into cyber-physical production systems can be indicated as a scientific result.
