Development of Transformerless Switching Mode Power Supply System for PMU Devices

A transformerless switching mode power supply (SMPS) for phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) devices was built using power electronics techniques. SMPS is the most suitable power supply technique for electronic devices and using the capacitive step-down technique added more advantages to the circuit. From 220V single AC input to multiple DC outputs with different voltage ratings with positive negative terminal was built according to the requirements.
