Moment Test Technique of the Aircraft's Water Rudder Hinge Based on Structural Loads

By studying the maneuvering principle of water rudder structure and mechanical characteristics, two approaches to the torque test of water rudder hinge, including rocker arm bending moment and rotating shaft torque based on the principle of moment balance, are used. And the test scheme of the rocker arm bending moment is determined by analyzing the test principle, feasibility, period and other factors. Moreover, the optimal measurement point evaluation based on model analysis, fiber grating sensing temperature compensation, and the test performance optimization scheme are designed. The test flight results show that the rocker arm's reliable bending moment data are obtained through structural load-strain test. Besides, the test accuracy reaches 0.3% which meets the demand for water rudder moment test in actual scenarios.
