Research on Design and Application of Automatic Unhooking Device

In the current tower erection process, the constructor has to climb to the connecting rope position to manually unhook the rope after a section or part of a tower is hoisted, which involves substantial safety risks. An automatic unhooking device is studied in this paper based on the parameters of towers in engineering applications to ease working at height of constructors and improve their working safety. This device was designed in terms of structural form, drive mode, and remote control system. Its prototype was manufactured, tested, and applied to the 110kV wind power transmission project in Hongsibao, Ningxia, which achieved a satisfactory application result. The research results can provide a reference basis for the design of automatic unhooking devices and are of specific engineering significance.
