OCR Application for Cancer Care

The number of cancer patients in Thailand is increasing every year. During the cancer treatment process, patients might need to go to the hospital often, causing time consumption and the risk of getting germs. Instead of going to the hospital for blood tests, patients could have a blood test at any available blood test lab near their accommodation and send it to the nurse or medical staff. This paper presents an OCR application to collect blood test results from patients where the medical staff could use this information for cancer care plans. From experimental results, the proposed application provided 81.5% accuracy.
