Design and Implementation of the 16 Channels FDA Radar Realtime Signal Processing System

A FDA radar consists of multiple transmitting channels and multiple receiving channels. Its target parameter estimation algorithm involves a huge amount of computation. It is difficult to design an FDA radar and realize real-time signal processing for the FDA radar. To tackle this difficulty, in this paper, a novel system design for FDA radar real-time signal processor is proposed which consists of a signal generation subsystem, signal acquisition subsystem, and signal processing subsystem. The correction method for the magnitude and phase error between different channels is presented. Real time signal processing algorithms are developed on the FPGA and GPU module, which satisfies the design requirements through performance verification.
