AQMoD: An IoT Implementation of Air Quality Monitoring, Mapping, and Warning System Using Drone Technology

This paper presents a device which uses microcontrollers such as Arduino Nano and ESP32; and is integrated by various sensors which can measure air quality parameters such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Ground-level Ozone (O3), and Particulate Matter (PM), Temperature, and Humidity. The system is designed to cover air quality monitoring, mapping, and warning system, and is being implemented using the Internet of Things (IoT). It involves two modes of operation: it is an independent device used in monitoring the air quality and another is implemented using drone technology for mapping. Both generate real-time data displayed in an application called Blynk App. The necessary data gathered will be interpreted by the device and determine the quality of air. The results will be delivered to the Blynk App where users can see the real-time air quality levels with their respective cautionary measures.
