The Special Aspects of Quality Management of the Organization at the Stage of Digital Transformation

The paper discusses the application of the process approach in the digital transformation of organizations. The study of the features of quality management at the stage of digital transformation is carried out on the example of universities, for which the risks of reducing the quality of the result when switching to remote work are the highest.The aim of the study is to determine the conditions for ensuring the quality of the digital transformation of the university, taking into account the need for re-engineering of the main processes and a radical change in the competency profile of teachers and support staff. To analyze the features of quality management at the stage of digital transformation, the research task is decomposed into three areas. In each direction, the author’s innovative design technology was used, which was adapted to the tasks of applying the process approach and principles of quality management in practice (1), designing the technology for preparing management teams for the implementation of digital transformation projects (2), and developing a mixed training on the basis of changing the system of labor rationing and ensuring the quality of remote work management (3).These approaches have proven their effectiveness in projects related to the development of digital transformation strategies and programs for their implementation, business process reengineering, and involving personnel in solving strategic problems. The study showed that a necessary condition for ensuring the quality of digital transformation is a deep study of the process model. Participants of educational projects received a double effect in the form of the developed elements of a quality management strategy at the stage of digital transformation and the competencies necessary for this. The results obtained confirmed the importance of a systematic view of digital transformation.
