Abstract:
We study the feasibility of using DML as transmitter for quasicoherent receiver (QCR) in access networks. 25 Gbps PAM-4 simulation results show 0-dB (2-dB) power-penalties for 20km (30km) C-band transmission compared to the back-to-back case, indicating the promise of DML-QCR as a low-cost transceiver choice.
