Hybrid Controller Design of Bldc Motor For Electric Vehicle Applications

An energy-efficient and highly controllable system is essential for the applications of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The acceleration and declaration processes are continuously performed while the vehicle is running. For the sudden variation of speed, a sensitive hybrid controller design is tried in this paper. Formally, PI and PID controllers with fuzzy-based technologies are used to perform these operations. But it will make the control system complex and costly. To verify the proposed hybrid control scheme in this case, the BLDC motor is taken into consideration. The technology is intended to control the EV at a wheel radius of 0.3048 m and speeds up to 90 km/h. The variable input torque and speed are given to study the performance. It is evidently proven that the proposed hybrid-based controlling method has a more dynamic response than PI and PID-based controlling systems. Finally, the comparison of the values from the simulations is presented at the end.
