Power Quality Improvement in DFIG Wind Power System By Fuzzy Controlled UPQC

Wind power is a widely available, dirt- free renewable energy source that is now being promoted to improve energy production through wind farms. Voltage sag, bloat, flicker, and harmonic distortion are issues that arise once wind farms are connected to the grid. Because voltage sag is one of the most harmful disruptions to sensitive loads, it accounts for 70% of P.Q. concerns. UPQC is used to enhance P.Q. by evaluating P.Q. issues, current harmonics, and voltage sag generated by grid- connected wind turbine connections. Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is offered as a new control approach for UPQC, which avoids the problem of standard P.I. controller's use of fixed gains. Simulated findings show that the fuzzy UPQC presented is more efficient in minimizing both current harmonics and voltage sag than the typical P.I. controlled UPQC, making the grid- connected wind energy more dependable by supplying superior quality energy.
