Modeling, Optimization and Performance Analysis of Different Chemical and Biochemical sensors for Distinct Analytes

In this article, modeling of photonic crystal based ring resonator for the detection of the various constituents/impurities in the sample has been proposed. The model exhibits a high Q factor and high selectivity for sensing different impurities. The parameters of the design are optimized through FDTD for sensing the impurities in the sample based on its distinct refractive indices. The performance of the device has been evaluated and discussed briefly in the article. The device has explored the possibility of highly selective label-free sensing for lab-on-chip applications.
