Spiral Antenna Design Using DCMOEA Algorithm to Solve COPs

When designing an antenna using optimization techniques, there are many different optimization issues, like single-objective optimization issues, and multi-objective optimization issues. Different optimizers require to be applied to enhance the stabilization and efficiency of the antenna design. While choosing the right set of optimization problems that are suitable for the desired antenna type is a significant issue. Generally, constrained optimization problems (COPs) are suitable for efficient antenna design. The dynamic constrained multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (DCMOEA) is applied to solve the COPs and the antenna design problems. In this paper, the Archimedean spiral antenna design for the CubeSat application is introduced to verify the proposed methods to satisfy the design requirements. The proposed antenna achieved multiband as it covered 3.5 GHz to 4 GHz at S-band, 4.5 GHz,from 5.2 GHz to 6.2 GHz, and from 7.GHz to 8 GHz at C-band, from 8 GHz to 12 GHz at X-band, from 12 GHz to 13.4 GHz , from 14 GHz to 18 GHz at Ku-band, from 18 GHz to 26 GHz at K-band, and from 26 GHz to 27.5 GHz, and at 35.5 GHz at Ka-band. . The measured results show that the Reference Impedance is 50 ohms, the Axial Ratio is less than 3 dB and the Reflection Coefficient S

< −10 dB. Additionally, the comparison between simulations and measurements reveal a very well matched condition.
