Investigation of Trailed Equipment of a Machine for Installing Flexible Cable Fencing on Roads Using Intelligent Control Systems and Mathematical Modeling

Wire rope barriers are a prime example of an effective security system used to prevent vehicles from entering the oncoming lane. However, for pulling the ropes and installing the columns of the road barrier, human labor is used and the process is not automated. To automate the process, a complex has been developed for installing a cable fence on public roads. In this article, the authors consider a unique developed design of a trailer with equipment for guiding and holding cables, as well as equipment for feeding posts. The authors give a method for calculating the angle of descent of the columns, as well as an assessment of performance when comparing the operation of the developed equipment and the traditional installation method. To ensure the operation of the machine and automate the control of the working process parameters, it is proposed to use a set of software and hardware tools for automatic control of the TKO-1 parameters. As methods for estimating the parameters of the developed structure, the finite element method is used. To optimize the proposed holding and guiding equipment, the specific gravity control method is used. As a result, an algorithm was developed and presented in this paper. As conclusions, an assessment of the productivity and efficiency of using the proposed design is given.
