A Bibliometric Analysis to Detect the Research Status in Flying Ad-Hoc Networks

FANETs field has become increasingly popular due to its wide range of applications, but its usage is still limited due to low efficiency and packet delivery problem. Hence, many researchers have started developing solutions to this problem. This paper presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis based on statistics, topic, and collaborative research. Statistical analysis was used to identify the productivity and impact of authors, organizations, and countries based on the number of published papers and citation count. For topic analysis, the top 10 keywords were identified using statistics. We also created the co-occurrence network for keywords to identify the research landscape and hotspot within this field. Similarly, for collaborative analysis, we used the VOSviewer tool. We created co-authorship networks to identify the collaboration between the authors, organizations, and countries. From the result, we can observe an insight into the characteristics of publications and the key contributors in the past two decades. The paper aims to help researchers understand the development status and trends in this field.
