Achievable capacity analysis for power domain non-orthogonal multiple access scheme

In this paper, we study the PD-NOMA non-orthogonal power domain multiple access technique for 5th generation wireless networks. This technique provides a solution to the overhead problems of wireless networks that have emerged due to the increase in the number of users. We describe two different power allocation schemes called fixed and fair in the case of two users. We simulated the capacity of a NOMA system using two different schemes based on the total power allocated for transmission. The results of the comparison between the two power allocation schemes show that the best performance is with the fair power allocation.
