Intelligent Commutation Strategy Based on Improved Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization

The three-phase unbalance in the low-voltage distribution station area is getting serious, which has brought many adverse effects to the stable operation of the power grid. Commutation switch is the fundamental way to solve this problem. According to the actual wiring situation of commutation switch, an intelligent commutation switch strategy based on improved discrete particle swarm optimization (IDPSO) is proposed. The strategy takes the current unbalance and the number of commutation switches as a multi-objective function, which can quickly solve the optimal commutation switch combination. Finally, the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified by Matlab / Simulink experiment. The experimental results show that the improved discrete particle swarm optimization intelligent commutation switch commutation strategy with faster convergence speed and more significant effect, and can effectively improve the three-phase unbalance in the distribution area.
