Traceability Tool for Instruments within the Sterilization Department of the Western Regional Hospital in Honduras

The proceedings at the sterilization department must be carried out correctly to safeguard the lives of patients and medical personnel guaranteeing the quality of the services provided by the hospital. It is for this reason that traceability systems have been developed for surgical instruments. With the aim of improving the processes within the sterilization department of the Western Regional Hospital, a traceability tool was designed using LabVIEW programming with which a pilot test was carried out that reflected the ease of generating location and process reports. for the instruments, in addition to inventorying the surgery sets, providing them with unique identification through codes.
