Simulation of the pneumatic retraction/extension system for UAV landing gear

The retraction/extension system of landing gear uses cold air as the power to complete the extraction and extension by actuators. It is possible for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) to meet with the condition of failure in landing gear when taking off and landing in extreme low temperature and low pressure. To verify the reliability of the system in terrible weather and ensure flight safety, we establish the simulation model based on AMEsim to trace the dynamic performance. Meanwhile, we compare the solution of simulation with experiment results. The results indicate that the simulation with consideration of heat exchange progress coincides with experimental results better than that in adiabatic progress.
