Research on electromechanical actuated unlocking technology of landing gear an aircraft

Aiming at the shortage of conventional aircraft landing gear unlocking by mechanical, hydraulic and air conditioning methods and the mature development of electric actuation technology, taking a certain aircraft as an example, the upper lock unlocking was changed to an electric actuation mode. The design of mechanical unlocking mechanism, electric unlocking control system and mechanism mechanics analysis, combined with the 3D modeling features of LMS Virtual.Lab Motion and the mechatronic modeling advantages of LMS Imagine.Lab AMESim, carried out the combination of electric unlocking and control systems simulation analysis. Finally, a model of the electrically operated unlocking system prototype was physically tested on a landing gear test bench of a certain model. The test results show that the designed electrically operated unlocking system of the upper gear of the landing gear can successfully open the lock. The operating time and force are within the design range, which proves the effectiveness and correctness of the electric unlocking technology.
