Modeling and Experimental Setup for Noise Pollution Energy Converter

In this paper, an experimental test-bed for noise pollution energy conversion and review of the progressive prototyping models based on acoustic energy conversion has been presented. Noise pollution is a waste vibrational energy available in the environment that has extensive potential of electrical signal conversion using suitable techniques. MEMS (Micro-Electronic-Mechanical System) devices, Acoustic-elastic meta-materials, and electromagnetic transducers make it possible to generate the micro-watt level electrical signal from the low-level decibel noise signal. This micro-level electrical signal is sufficient to power small-signal devices after proper amplification, rectification and regulation. The developed loT based real time noise pollution monitoring and conversion system is tested under live circumstances. The developed model has shown promising results. Using suitable amplification and rectification mechanism, the results can be improved.
