Fault Tolerance Smart Incubator With IoT Control and Alerts

This paper presents an incubator which provides a combination of high reliability and remote control via cloud application. The cloud offers interface that allows custom profile setup of temperature, humidity, eggs rotation and airflow for hatching different birds. Accordingly, the hardware allows eggs of different sizes to be used. The device has the ability to send notifications in case of any component failure or serious deviations from the set parameters of the working environment. Its reliability is guaranteed by the design with redundant modules and the optimal operation algorithm programmed in the managing IoT controller. Selected electronic components are popular and available on the market and are also an optimal choice in terms of price-specifications. The prototype is developed for a small number of eggs, but can be easily reconstructed for industrial needs and bigger productivity.
